urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:annshh annshh annshh annshh 2007-08-06T17:32:26Z urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:annshh:600 My First Post 2007-06-18T03:21:46Z 2007-08-06T17:32:26Z Hot 99.5 Alright- so I joined mainly because I like reading <span class='ljuser ljuser-name_happypete' lj:user='happypete' style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://happypete.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif' alt='[info]' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='http://happypete.livejournal.com/'><b>happypete</b></a></span>'s LJ posts... but I guess it's about time I start... not that anything I&nbsp;write is going to be interesting to most of you, because like everything else in my life, most of it is going to be about horses, as that's all I do so that's all I really have anything new going on about :)<br /><br />Background on myself, since it is my first post you might as well get to know something about me.<br /><br />I'll be a Junior in High School next year.<br />After High School I would like to take whatever classes I need (don't exactly know the specifics- still learning about this college thing!) and eventually go to vet school to be an equine vet. Currently interested in VA Tech, Cornell, UC Davis, Wilson, and some others. Hopefully my grades continue to stay where they are at!<br />I love photography and taking pictures (and of what? horses mostly of course!)<br />I have a ton of pets... 7 chinchillas, 3 dogs, 1 bearded dragon, 1 hamster, 1 rabbit, some fish and, of course- 1 horse- my pain in the butt gelding who I love dearly (most of the time!).<br />I used to work at a horse barn, and then another one (warmblood breeding facility... where I met my first stallions who were teddy bears and complete loves)... and currently am jobless but I desperately need a job... Hopefully I'll be able to find a barn who needs a dependable person like me (hehe)... honestly, I'd love to find another barn to work at, as I'm not interested in anything else... know of anyone needing barn help? lol<br />My horse is a 14 year old Appendix QH gelding. Usually grey but sometimes brown :)<br />I ride english and my gelding is green... which gets very frustrating at times, but also very rewarding when we finally have a breakthrough. He's currently out of work though due to hind end lameness. He's pretty sound now but still ouchy so he gets more time off... which doesn't do him any good undersaddle as he's going to be very hard to get his head back in the game.<br />I'm hoping to be able to do jumpers or eventing with him this fall or next year- but we'll see how he goes.<br />There is nothing better than cantering a horse bareback. You feel like&nbsp;you are flying free!<br /><br /><br />Um... ok well I guess that's it for now... unless any of you all want to know more I guess lol.<br />When I have more time to actually read directions I'll figure out how post pictures.<br /><br />Well, have a good night!
